Raju Epuri
Raju Epuri, a Hyderabad-based artist, has been immersed in painting for over 25 years. He has held several solo shows and participated in numerous group exhibitions, particularly in Hyderabad and Bangalore, earning prestigious recognitions such as awards from the Hyderabad Art Society. His works have also traveled beyond India, with displays in countries like Japan, and form part of notable collections including the Birla Museum in Hyderabad.
Working across watercolors, oils, pastels, charcoal, acrylics, and mixed media, Raju’s artistic journey reflects a gradual evolution of style and thought. His visual language brings together symbolic imagery, flowing lines, and stylized forms, creating a dialogue between abstract and figurative ideas.
In recent explorations, such as the “Beauty and the Beast” series, he experiments with bold lines and unexpected color juxtapositions, breaking away from routine visuals. His works often carry a sense of rhythm almost musical where splashes of color, forms, and lines come together to create a unique visual harmony.
