
Kandi Narsimlu
Kandi Narsimlu (born 1972) is a Hyderabad-based contemporary artist from Kaslabad, Telangana, whose work is deeply rooted in the traditions and everyday life of rural India. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Fine Arts & Architecture, JNT University, Hyderabad, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), Hyderabad.
Inspired by his childhood in rural Telangana, Narsimlu creates expressive figurative paintings featuring elongated human forms, large contemplative eyes, traditional attire, and vibrant colour palettes. His works preserve the cultural identity of village communities while exploring themes of belonging, harmony, tolerance, and human relationships. Through symbolic skin tones and emotionally engaging compositions, he celebrates the dignity, wisdom, and resilience of rural life.
Narsimlu has presented several acclaimed solo exhibitions, including Rustic Reflections, Rural Excerpts, and Rural Whispers, and his paintings are held in private collections across India and abroad. His art continues to document the evolving spirit of Telangana's villages while presenting them through a distinctly contemporary visual language.
