Kandukuri Ramesh Babu

Kandukuri Ramesh Babu is a Hyderabad-based fine art photographer, journalist, and author whose work is dedicated to celebrating the beauty of the ordinary. Through his philosophy of "celebrating the ordinary," he transforms everyday people, familiar places, and fleeting moments into powerful visual narratives that reveal the dignity, emotion, and quiet heroism of common life.

Born in Yellareddypet Mandal of Telangana's Siricilla district, Ramesh Babu earned a Master's degree in English Literature before building a distinguished career of over two decades in print and electronic journalism. Alongside his work as a journalist, television presenter, and author of thirteen books dedicated to unsung heroes, he gradually devoted himself to photography, embracing it as his primary artistic medium.

In 2010, photography became a defining chapter in his creative journey. He founded Samanyashastram Gallery in Hyderabad, a unique space devoted entirely to exhibiting photographs that honour ordinary lives. Over the years, he has captured more than one lakh photographs and presented numerous solo exhibitions, inviting audiences to appreciate the aesthetics found in everyday existence rather than extraordinary spectacle.

Kandukuri Ramesh Babu's photographs explore portraits, rural communities, cultural traditions, and the unnoticed poetry of daily life. His work reflects the belief that every face, object, and natural element is part of a greater universal whole, revealing the extraordinary within the seemingly ordinary. Through this deeply humanistic vision, he has established himself as one of Telangana's distinctive contemporary photographers, preserving the stories of everyday people with empathy, authenticity, and timeless artistic sensitivity.
