
Tailor Srinivas
Tailor Srinivas is a distinguished contemporary painter based in Hyderabad, Telangana, whose artistic practice reflects a harmonious blend of figurative expression, cultural narratives, and contemporary aesthetics. Born in 1974 in Tekmal, Medak district, his creative journey is rooted in a strong academic foundation, having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from JNT University, Hyderabad, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Hyderabad.
Over the years, Srinivas has developed a unique visual language that combines expressive forms, vibrant compositions, and thoughtful storytelling. His paintings often explore themes of human relationships, tradition, memory, and the evolving cultural landscape, inviting viewers to engage with both personal and collective experiences.
His artistic excellence has been recognized through several prestigious honours, including a Highly Commended Certificate from the Hyderabad Art Society, a Silver Medal at the All-India Art Competition, and a State Level Award from PSTU, Hyderabad. These accolades reflect his significant contribution to contemporary Indian art.
Tailor Srinivas has exhibited extensively across India, showcasing his work at renowned venues such as Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, the Nehru Centre, Mumbai, India Art Fair, and the India Art Festival (2019 and 2024). His works have also been featured in prominent galleries across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Kerala, with recent exhibitions at Chola Art Gallery (2025) and Next Galleria Mall, Hyderabad (2025).
