Srinivasa Ram Makineedi

Srinivasa Ram Makineedi is a Hyderabad-based self-taught contemporary artist whose works explore the intricate relationship between nature, memory, and the human experience. Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, he creates richly textured compositions that blend figurative elements with abstract expression, drawing inspiration from India's cultural heritage, everyday life, and the emotional landscapes of human existence.

His distinctive visual language is characterized by layered surfaces, earthy palettes, organic textures, and symbolic imagery that invite contemplation. Through his paintings, Makineedi reflects on themes of labour, identity, spirituality, and the enduring connection between people and nature. His practice embraces experimentation with texture and material, resulting in works that are both tactile and deeply evocative.

Makineedi has participated in numerous exhibitions across India, including shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai Art Fair, Chitra Kala Parishath, State Art Gallery Hyderabad, and other prominent venues in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. He has received cash awards at the 75th and 82nd All India Exhibitions organized by the Hyderabad Art Society, and his works are held in private collections across India and internationally.
